Overview of Liquid Preparation System:
The liquid preparation system is an important part in the production of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, genetic engineering, food and beverage industries. Whether the temperature control and preparation accuracy of the liquid preparation system are accurate, the operation is simple and convenient, the design and installation of the liquid preparation tank and material pipeline meet the requirements of sterile and pollution prevention, the CIP/SIP design is reasonable, and the tank interface meets the sanitary grade requirements, which are directly related to the qualification of product quality, and product quality is the lifeblood of an enterprise.
Especially for sterile preparation products, there are a series of strict requirements such as sterility, pyrogen-free, clarity, isotonicity and stability, which have high requirements for production equipment and production processes. The liquid preparation system is to add raw materials into solvents such as pure water/water for injection, and after stirring, heating or refrigeration, sterilization and filtration, etc., to prepare the required concentration for injections. It is a core and complex link in the drug production process. The liquid medicine preparation system mainly includes main modules such as liquid medicine preparation, sterilization filtration or ultrafiltration/nanofiltration, dynamic buffer, liquid medicine transportation and process control.

Basic Components:
Liquid Storage Container
This is the part of the liquid preparation system that stores the liquid raw materials. In the pharmaceutical industry, these are typically stainless steel tanks, the size of which depends on the scale of the liquid preparation process. For example, in a small laboratory liquid preparation system, the storage container may only have a capacity of a few liters; while in a large pharmaceutical company's production liquid preparation system, the storage tank volume can reach thousands of liters or even more. These storage containers generally have liquid level monitoring devices that can display the liquid level in real time, allowing operators to accurately monitor the remaining liquid volume.
Transfer Pump
The transfer pump is a key component that transfers liquid raw materials from the storage container to the liquid preparation device. Common types include centrifugal pumps and peristaltic pumps. Centrifugal pumps generate centrifugal force through the high-speed rotation of an impeller, giving the liquid energy and thus enabling its transfer. They are characterized by high flow rates and high head, making them suitable for the rapid transfer of large quantities of liquid. Peristaltic pumps, on the other hand, transfer liquid by squeezing a flexible tube with rollers. The advantages of this type of pump are that it can accurately control the flow rate and exerts minimal shear force on the liquid, making it suitable for transferring shear-sensitive biopharmaceutical raw materials.
Metering Device
The metering device is used to accurately measure and control the amount of various raw materials added to the liquid preparation system. For example, in pharmaceutical liquid preparation, common metering methods include mass metering and volume metering. Mass metering can be achieved through high-precision electronic balances, where the raw materials are placed on the balance and the required mass is accurately weighed according to the preset formula. Volume metering utilizes various flow meters, such as electromagnetic flow meters and turbine flow meters. Electromagnetic flow meters are based on the principle of electromagnetic induction; when a conductive liquid passes through a magnetic field, an induced electromotive force is generated, the magnitude of which is proportional to the liquid flow rate, thus allowing for accurate measurement of the liquid volume flow rate.

Application Areas:
Pharmaceutical Industry
In the pharmaceutical industry, liquid dispensing systems are a critical part of drug production. For example, in the production of injectable drugs, the dispensing system needs to accurately prepare solutions containing various components such as active pharmaceutical ingredients, buffers, and osmotic pressure regulators. The dispensing process must strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of the drugs. Liquid dispensing systems are also used in the preparation of various dosage forms such as oral solutions and eye drops.
Chemical Industry
The chemical industry utilizes liquid dispensing systems to prepare various chemical reagents, coatings, adhesives, and other products. For example, in paint production, the dispensing system mixes resins, solvents, pigments, and additives according to a specific formula to produce paint products with different properties. For the preparation of some high-purity chemical reagents, the dispensing system needs to have high-precision metering and filtration functions to meet the quality requirements of chemical production.
Food and Beverage Industry
Liquid dispensing systems in the food and beverage industry are used to prepare beverages, jams, sauces, and other products. For example, in beverage production, the dispensing system mixes water, sugar, fruit juice, flavorings, preservatives, and other ingredients to produce various flavored beverages. Because food and beverages directly affect consumer health, the dispensing system must comply with food safety standards and ensure the stability of product taste and quality.
